Longing, noun

1. to yearn for something or someone unattainable or distant,
2. a hole inside yourself, 3. the moment you realize those new
earrings, that new poetry book is not what you really need,
4. the last time he smiled at you and your words tumbled back
down your throat like stones, 5. an unfinished love poem.

 

 


Carol Despeaux Fawcett lives in the Pacific Northwest and earned her MFA degree from Goddard College.
