Don’t Break the Spine

Don’t Break the Spine
by Dave Donelson

My page bleeds intentionally like wounds from crucifixion. The blood is hard to read. It disappears into the spine the way life falls into a valley of despondence. Break the spine if you wish, but all you will reveal are a jumble of red letters. Do not rush; enjoy the suspense. Imagine a meaning.
