Gift Economy

My brother sends me a compass that always points to whoever is about to die. I keep it in the fridge.
On Tuesdays, the sky arrives in bubble wrap. We pop it slowly. No one rushes weather. My neighbor trades three paperclips for a badmouthing of mirrors.
He overpaid, but will never admit it.
